These people claim they have selected me as a winner. I haven’t received anything in the mail except a check for $9700. So I can pay them this, however, the old saying is if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. These people keep calling me for my finacial information . I have to them once but then they moved things around to mess me up. So then I cancelled everything in m bank and haven’t finished my passwords yet. These people keep calling me, telling me they have money for me, but I can’t trust anyone on the phone. There are too many scammers out there. They have all my information and I am pretty upset that I trusted these people once and I haven’t fixed the problems the started last week because I have been busy working. And won’t get a chance to get to my bank until Wensday morning the 10 of July. I have the 11 off.

His name he said was David Sawyer and I won 150 thousand from readers digest. He said all I have to do was get a25 dollar gift card and meat up with the people at my place. Asked if I was home alone, or if my family was here. I asked him how do I verify who he is and had me hold on that he would get me the number to contact reader digest corporate and then I was to call him back. I looked up readers digest on my Google instead of the fake number he gave me and as I was sending my email he called me back twice to ask if I called and verified. I said yes I did but not with the number you gave and I was told that no David Sawyer works for them and that they would never contact by phone to any person .they would correspond only by certified mail. And his tone dropped I said so David Sawyer Shame the bleep on you, carma will find you and your gonna pay for what you are trying to do- prey on people. Your going to jail. And I hung up. My first clue was when I asked him to spell his last name and he said Sayer but then corrected it and said Sawyer. Be careful people cuz the boarders are open this is what kind of people are coming through.

I received a call from someone claiming to be Readers Digest. They said they would send me a certified letter because I won $350 million and a Mercedes Benz. They told me I had to pay $79.95 via money order for the certified letter. I told them I was not going to pay for a money order, they said it was necessary for shipping but I ended the call.

Got the same call, was told prize would be delivered with new car but I had to have 2 Walmart gift cards for 500 each before delivery,of course I did nothing.3 day later I get a call from a man who said he was a federal agent and they had. Cought these guys trying to cash a check with my name for 7.5 million, suppose to call back but recieved nocall.

Robotic sounding voicemail advised I won 7.5 million from Readers Digest Sweepstakes. Gave winning #000251US and to call Steve Carrel to get my prize. The phone numbers are supposedly attached to Telcentris Communications LLC with various locations in New York & California areas.

- Black Diamond, WA, USA

I received a phone call from (929)353-7100 saying I won a prize of $3.8 million, but, I couldn’t find my name on any of their winners lists.

The gentleman’s name is Jonathan Hale, saying he is in the “onclaims dept” and asking for sensitive information for a "Government Stamped Approval Letter". When he started asking for my mom's maiden name that's when I started to feel it wasn't legit.

I'm hoping you can either confirm or debunk. Thanks

- Portland, OR, USA

I have caller ID so I knew that is was no one I knew. He started by telling me since I had been a subscriber to the Readers Digest that my name had been drawn and I could win 35k or maybe it was 350k, it was a big amount. And a new car. he was going to give me a claim number and a persons name who was James Carson, son of Johnny Carson. I was to call immediately, hang up and call immediately, and not to call anyone else in between. They gave me an address in New York, Times Square in Manhattan. It sounds too good to be true. That was about it. And that I was supposed to call immediately. I thought I would call the BBB. Maybe the police. I am not going to call them. Gave claim number 555 044 2305 OR.
