They call first from the Califorina say that it is noted they contacted you and will further proceed with legal action at the end of the day, this is all automated. Then they leave a name and 855 number to call back to. when you call back they are very rude and when you ask for the company information if they give it to you and you say you will contact that company they say that they are going to futher proceed with the legal action and hang up.

Robo call from this number. I called back and the very rude lady on the phone had several pieces of personal information and informed me that this was a debt collection attempt on a credit card that was opened in 2004 and that the last payment was made in 2010. She stated without me asking that this call was not a scam. I did have a credit card with the named company but it was short lived due to a severe car accident. The only possibly way that a payment would have been made in 2010 would have been a settlement to close it out. It does not show on my credit report. After her rudeness I asked to speak to the manager. Someone else was put on the phone and I was told that they had signed affidavits to proceed with legal action and that I had until the end of business today (2016-05-18) to decide what I was going to do. I asked for written documentation and the man said that he could email something, which he hasn't, but that he "didn't have time to mail anything before legal action was taken". I can not find anything legitimate about this company and in fact one post that I read stated that this was a scam and referenced the FBI IC3 website. I couldn't find anything on this website. Also, isn't the statute of limitations on this 3 years??
