I had applied to multiple medical coding jobs and I was reached out to through my e-mail asking if I was still interested. After confirming my interest, they sent me 16 interviewing and screening questions along with a description of what my job role would be. After sending my responses back, two days later I was told they wanted to offer me the position and they sent an offer letter, had me sign it, and send it back. They then sent me a “check” via e-mail to purchase supplies. The check wouldn’t go through so i did some more research and found out it was most likely a scam. Haven’t heard anything else from the “recruiter” since I told them the check wouldn’t go through.
