we operate a business named Red Pine Motors in Outing MN. A person from Arizona called me regarding a 1969 mustang he said he saw for sale on our website. we have neither a 1969 mustang or a website. he insisted he saw this car on a site called red pine motors. I searched my business name on google and found an imposter site called red-pine-motors.com. we do not use hyphens in our name. We own the domain name redpinemotors.com but don't currently use it. The phony site used our trade name, an email of [email protected] (our email is ***********************) a phone number of 651-395-4675( our land line is ************) and our actual physical address of 332 ne Hwy 6.

I called the number on the site and got a generic voice mail but did not leave a message. i received a call back from a foreign sounding guy claiming to be me. i confronted him and he hung up. I reported this to the Cass county MN sheriffs department and they suggest I contact you. The sheriffs case # is ********. Deputy **** ******. I am concerned that this is a scam fishing for deposits on collector cars that are listed on this site. the ad are generally stolen from other legit sites and offered at a reduced price. Although my cell phone number is not on the website , the man from Arizona managed to find it on other legitimate advertising I have done. I can see this getting messy and would like your input on what I can do. Thanks
