This website is claiming to help you get your money back when you've been scammed. I filled out the form for the consultation. Within 13 minutes I received a phone call from A man named Alex Belafonte. Claiming that he could get my money back in as little as 15 minutes. He wanted me to send him 2 separate emails. The first email was supposed to include all of the information about the scam, date, time, amounts, website. Including screenshots of everything. The second email was supposed to be about all the financial stuff, how much money I was scammed out of, proof of payment. He also wanted screenshots of my bank account. Screenshots that included all of my personal information to help them verify that it is in fact my account. This seemed fishy to me. Alex sent me an email so I could verify that he wasn't lying. It was a long wordy email with an attachment stating the following.
Refund force inc.
Business number (BN): 737491142
Registry ID: 14715641
Registered office location: Montreal QC
Status: active
Status notes: -
Business type: business cooperation
My husband and I starting doing some digging. When looking up refund force inc. we discovered that the office is permanently closed.. The phone number he called from was from Manitoba, not Montreal QC.
The company has No owner. The Website has only active for 3 months. But the website claims that they have been "helping" people for 5 years. Their address isn't an address at all, it's an entire strip. Their Shady practices for something that's supposedly federally regulated seemed very off.
My husband called the man to ask him some questions. When he called him thean answered in another language. Also there was muiltple people talking in the background. The man claimed that he had been in business for 7 years yet the website was just created last year. He also claimed to be a federal agent that's federal regulated. Just yesterday get someone a back 1/2 million dollars they were scammed out of. My husband questioned him about the business and his legitness. The man claimed that alot of people tend to make fake websites claiming to be them. He basically told my husband that he better things to do besides speaking to him and answering his questions.
Bottom line! Trust your instincts
