This is the SMS message i received. I’m smart enough to know legit companies don’t contact you like this and would never interview someone without any contact whatsoever aside from text messages.
Scam Interview
They conduct an online-only interview, you respond through chat, and 20 minutes later they “offer” you the position and say you will be receiving the paperwork and offer letter in the morning.
When you ask to speak with someone to make sure this is a real opportunity, they ghost you.

the above is a text message from a scammer. their operation is to scrape resumes from popular job posting sites if your resume is set for public viewing. this is a multi-person scam. at least two people are considered to be involved: the recruiter and HR manager (more than likely they are the same person). the scammers insist on conducting interviews via text message only. the scammer interviewing you asks you for basic information found on the resume their recruiter is supposed to have scrapped off a job site. the scammer interviewing you wants to interview you for a job you didn't apply for playing statistical odds of the target being one looking for work or career change. when you point out the fact that information is on the resume the recruiter scrapped off the website logically saying the interviewer should already have this information at hand, highlighting how unprofessional the interviewer is behaving, said interviewer bails from the chat platform completely by deleting the account being used for the scammer's interview of the target.
