Wednesday morning 6/30/22. I checked my account to balance my checkbook at 6:15am. I had over $750 in my account. Then while I was on the phone with my husband an hour later he said he was getting a call and then he got a text from our fraud department about my debit card. I checked the account and we were showing negative balance now and there were charges from remitly who I had no clue nor did my husband. I call yhe fraud department and they told me that remitly is a wire transfer company and between 7:34 - 7:54 they debited 5 transactions totalling over 1500.00. They canceled my card and I went through with them the charges that were authorized. Then they said to wait for the bank to open and fill out forms. We did and the bank had a number for the company. I called and spoke with two people and asked them why didn't 5 charges not send red flags that were sent in minutes?? They wouldn't tell me who did it just the money was sent to Nigeria and my bank should reimburse me. I told them I work and have kids to take care of and yes they will but it will take a week to straighten it out and how am I supposed to take care of things. She said she couldn't do anything. Warning watch out!
