We purchased a stove from Rene because we were interested in the fact that it came with a warranty. They came to our house and delivered the stove and even removed our old one for free. As soon as they left we turned on the back burner and it automatically died. Okay, one less back burner isn’t horrible. We knew we were purchasing a used stove, but this was not mentioned in the description and neither was the fact that the buttons 7-9 do not work. I contacted Rene and let him know that we are having these issues and to remind him that they did not give us the warranty they promised. He admitted he knew that the buttons and burner did not work and tested it before he listed the stove. I wouldn’t have wasted my money had I known that in the first place. They came to our house and looked at the stove and said they’ll order the parts for the stove and if it doesn’t work they’ll give us another one. It’s had already been two weeks since the initial sale and I asked him for an update on the parts he ordered. He said he didn’t look into yet and will tomorrow. At this point I asked him for a refund and he refused, said they do not offer refunds although that wasn’t mentioned in the description either. I told him if this does not get resolved in the next couple of days, we will have to take this to small claims court and he told me to do it and that they weren’t going to honor their 30 day warranty because they've had “issues with past customers,” well no wonder, they’re too busy ripping people off! Beware buyers. They sell faulty products (don’t even put the problems in the description) under a 30-50 day warranty depending on the product. Do not honor that warranty, and do not offer refunds even though that is not listed on their description! Disgusting. Warranties may not be a contract but they assure the buyer that the good or service is free from defects and is a legally binding commitment. What these people are doing is illegal.
