The scam has listed that my house which my mother and I just bought in 2024 for rent for $1000 per month. Payable through Rentredi. I have reported to all 3 websites and the only one who will NOT list it as a scam and take the posting down is Trulia stating they can not remove or mark it as a scam because of the third party, Rentredi, is how the scammer posted the listing. In the meantime we have random strangers coming to our home asking about renting it.

I found a rental property that interested me on Facebook Marketplace. I reach out to try to make an appointment to view the property. They contact, [email protected], pointed me to a portal at RentRedi.com. I was asked to download the RentRedi app. I was then asked to fill out a form that would allow me to view the home. I was asked for my income, credit score, banks statements, employment letter, w-2 forms, tax returns, work pay stubs. And I was informed that a credit check woudl be done. I did not provide any of the documents. These are all sensitive information that they rquire before seeing the property. THis is not usual practice to simply view property. I then reached out to the Facebook Market seller. I told him that I was not comfortable sharing sensitive information before viewing property. He told me he would get back to me. I have not heard back. Sounds like there might be some scamming being done on this app and website. the seller's facbook profile is NAME.
