Saw a boat for sale in the Facebook Marketplace. When I went to the ad it said it was sold but gave a website to go to to see other boat auctions. The site claimed the boats were repossessed and were being sold with no reserve. I signed up to be a bidder and had to give drivers license images and last 4 digits of SSN. This should have tipped me off but I complied and now think this information will be used to steal my identity. After submitting my bid, I investigated the company and became aware that the boat photos and description had been stolen from another website. I called and asked for my bid to be withdrawn and the company removed it, but I still worry that my information will be used to steal my identity. Another victim of the site claimed they wired money for a car auction they won and never received the car. There is no doubt that if someone bids on a vehicle on this site they will win and if they wire money they will lose it. When I tried to edit my profile on the company's website, it would not allow me to edit or delete my profile even though I asked for my account to be deleted.
