Three large custom pvc plastic reptile enclosures were ordered for a public aquarium on December 5, 2022 at a cost of over $4,500 using an online invoice from SquareUp.com (Invoice #000002, December 5, 2022). At first I was corresponding with one Raymond (Ray) Alvarado by email and phone, as well as Messenger. Soon after receiving payment all communication stopped. He stopped answering emails or phone messges and wouldn't answer his phone, (714) 752-0130. They were suposedly located in Lakewood, CA but also have anumber listed as (714) 501-8033 in Lakewood, NJ, 08701. Then, around January 4-6, 2023 I began receiving responses from their supposed Facebook page from an Alfred Klyer, [email protected]. I requested a refund for the $650.00 extra we had paid for expedited delivery as it had been over a month at that point, and then received some very suspicious emails from him saying that I needed to send them even more money. I am convinced that this company, which purpoted to build custom reptile enlosures, is a scam.
