Google made a snippet of a misleading post on Quora that suggested canceling the Iberia flight by calling 888-690-6118. The scammers requested that the booking confirmation info be sent to their email at [email protected], pretending that the booking code did not work. They made up a story that the ticket was non-refundable and that a fee needed to be paid. The fake 'Supervisor' was even ruder than the initial scammer. I hung up the phone. Beware. Check phone numbers on official websites.

My Expedia account was hacked. I was notified my trip was being “cancelled “and I needed to “rebook” for a fee of 3,270. They had all the passengers names and DOB. They attempted to charge this amount 5 times once for each passenger. I put a stop on my credit card once I saw the email was fraudulent. They were denied the charges. They continued to call and text me saying if I didn’t pay the rebooking they would not only cancel this one trip but would cancel all my other trips in the Expedia account. I notified Expedia of the situation. They said the account was fine. I changed my password, cancelled my credit card. Apparently even though I changed my password they were still in the account. Via the mobile app they cancelled all my trips. I had trip insurance on two flights purchased through Expedia but I was denied a refund. I spent 2 days approx 25 phone calls to Expedia and no one cared. They had no interest in seeing the texts or emails. They said flights were not refundable. I had to rebook on my Own. At this point prices had more than doubled on flights and hotels.
