Robo call impersonating a real human trying to sell phony resorts. Called on my cell.

- North Canton, OH, USA

This woman with an annoyingly cheerful voice, who wont' stop talking, calls me ever few weeks to try to get me to go to some resort - if I qualify. She won't listen to me to stop calling. She won't stop calling. I don't usually answer, but have forgotten and answered on occasion.

- The Villages, FL, USA

On May 10, 2017 a Robo call stating we stayed in one of their resorts and have won a free stay just have to answer couple questions, my husband answered yes to all 3 questions. Are you over 18? Do you have a credit card? etc. He was half asleep before he realized it was a scam. We are now watching for any accounts or services that might show up in our name. These calls need to stop.

A man's voice offered a return stay at a resort in Orlando. He asked if I were over 18. I replied, "Yes," then realized my mistake, and hung up. When I checked the phone number, I found it belongs to Aliesh Douglas. When I called the number, it went to voice mail. Here's the number: 719-339-6701.

- Brewer, ME, USA

Person asking If I could hear them...I said yes. Said I was eligible to stay in a resort for free

- Albuquerque, NM, USA

I answered the call the recording sounded very natural said they were having issues with their headset said I recently stayed at a resort and qualified... then I hung up

Person says hello pauses and says hello again and you either say hello or yes and they say their name and you say ok or alright or what are you calling for and then they let you know that it seems that you have visited their resort before and that's when I hung up although the person was trying to complete the reading of the sale. This caller was laughing in the beginning and said she didn't hear the line pick up.

- Cincinnati, OH, USA

The person told me of a cruise I won. Said headset cut out and asked if I could hear her.

- Sioux Falls, SD, USA

They call and pretend they are adjusting their headset and say can you hear me? Then proceed to say you stayed at their resort (not saying which one). Then I hung up - before they could say more.

- Austin, TX, USA

Caller pretended to be fixing a headset and asked "can you hear me." Introduced herself and Nicole proceeded to tell me that they have records of me staying at one of their resort. Told me I won free stays at one of their properties.

- West Covina, CA, USA

Recording said they were fumbling to get their headset on correctly. Then said "can you hear me" and I accidentally said "yes".

Prerecorded message asking if I can hear them. Female voice says she was adjusting her headset.

- Fishers, IN, USA

Caller started conversation by saying, "Are you there?", receiver responded yes. Caller then went on to say she was having trouble with her headset when she called me. Caller's name was Emily. She then went on to say that I have stayed at one of their resorts and because of that I get 75% off at a resort in Orlando. She went on about all these things that I would get and after the stay in Orlando I would get a cruise to the Bahamas. At this point I hung up. I was concerned because I read about the scam where callers are getting people to say "yes"-which I did.

- Dayton, OH, USA

Caller said Hello I'm sorry didn't hear you I needed to adjust my headset can you hear me now? I said Yes. She said. That we had stayed at their resort and that we had won a wonderful vacation to Orlando Florida. I hung up but I had already said "YES"

- Washington, DC, USA

A woman called and pretended that her headsets were not working so I would reply YES immediately when asked if I could hear her, which I did. After she talked a little bit about a resort that I had supposedly stayed at she tried to sell me some prize or something, I hanged up so I do not have more information. What worries me is that she got me to say yes.

- Lenoir City, TN, USA

Phone call from recorded voice seeming to have trouble with phone connection asking if I can hear them.

- Lewiston, ID, USA

The person said they were with the resort that I had previously been at, then they proceeded to ask me if I could hear them. I responded with "uh-huh". They then told me I had qualified for 75% off my next day. Then I hung up.

- Lewiston, ID, USA

The person called me and told me, then proceeded to ask me if I could hear them. What should I say yes, lady on the phone she was with the resort company and I had won a free trip

- Powell, TN, USA

My phone showed I was getting a call from a local number, so I answered it. The "conversation" went something like this:

Me: Hello?

Her: Hello?

Me: Hello?

Her: Can you hear me?

Me: Hello?

Her (sounded like a young lady): (Giggling) Sorry about that. I was having trouble with my headset. My name is Emily. I see that you stayed at one of our resorts recently - this qualifies you for 75% off a 4 day, 3 night package at one of our resorts....

I hung up at that point and subsequently blocked the number.
