I responded to an ad on my phone about ResQ ID skin cream and eye serum. I ordered them on July 2 and paid shipping charges of about $9. I assumed the low price was to encourage you to order more at regular price once the trial size was used up. I can't find the ad again to check how fine the "fine print" was, but I missed the part where I "agreed" to pay full price for the two items if I didn't cancel within 14 days. On July 16 (actually not quite 14 days, because I ordered them the night of July 2) charges for $97.86 and $93.79 were sent to my credit card. Wells Fargo denied one of them, suspecting fraud, but the other one appeared in the temporary area. I called immediately and was informed that the trial period was up, and I couldn't have a refund. I told the woman that the 14 days were not technically up until the night, because that's when I ordered the product. She said their records showed I placed my order at 9 a.m. on July 2--not true. She said she could cancel future orders, which took the $93.79 rejected charge off (probably because she knew they weren't going to get that money). But I'd have to pay the $97.86. After I objected, she said she could give me a 35% discount. After more of my objections, she said 50% off. I pointed out they were still cheating me out of $49; she offered a 75% discount. I see from another account on the ScamPulse.com page that somebody else got all her money back, but I was tired of haranguing, so I accepted that offer. It will be 2 weeks before I see whether the refund actually appears on my card statement. From all the back-peddling by their "customer service" person, it's clear they are used to dealing with irate people, but I guess they end up making a lot of money with this business model. The 75% offer came after I said I would "smear them all over the Internet."
