A man called, stating he was from the Walmart fraud detection unit. He stated there was a suspicious purchase made on an account, created 15 days ago in my husband's name. He said the purchase was already out for delivery and would be charged to his bank account upon delivery. He then listed three banks that were supposedly associated with the new account and wanted to know if my husband banked at any of them. That's when we hung up.

I received a phone call from someone who said they worked for Walmart.com. Her name was Annie Lawson, Badge Number ER11920. She stated that someone had ordered an Xbox 5 and some type of earplugs, but the order hadn’t shipped because it hadn’t been paid for. I told her I didn’t order it.

She then asked if I had ever lived in Albany, New York, or Houston, Texas. I told her no. Next, she asked if I had ever used a certain credit card with specific last four digits. I told her no and did not provide my credit card number.

She also claimed that these people had sent money overseas and had multiple credit cards in my name. Then, she said I needed to speak with someone in the Inspector General’s Office. She transferred me to a man who claimed to work there, identifying himself as Officer Harris, Badge Number H2611B45.

He asked me the same questions as the woman and then told me that my Social Security number had been stolen (I did not confirm the number). He said someone would be in touch with me.

This was all a scam. My credit has been frozen for a while, and I have notified my creditors. I’m glad I havepaid ID protection services.

Thought I was ordering from JCPenney and come to find out it was not the official website for JCPenney. I placed my order in October 2024. Tracking stated the package was delivered, it was not delivered! Emailed [email protected] and they stated that they would reorder the stuff but it would be after December 2024. I got a message with a new tracking number and then we wait, received periodical updates from track17 watched it move from LA all the way to Miami Florida. Recently received the delivery status of delivered in Miami Florida. I do not live in Florida.

Received a voice mail from this phone # 1448-327-7781. "Mary" told me a purchase of a PS5 and some headphones were ordered on my Walmart account for $919.xx. I was told to press 1 to speak to someone. I checked my Walmart account account and no such order was placed by me or did I see it in my current purchases. I believe this is a scam.

My Canon printer stopped working. I went to the paper owners manual which referred me to the online manual which gave me the number 888-709-1906 to call with questions. The person asked me to turn my computer over to him so he could trouble shoot my printer .He said his name was James Smith, his employee # was CN10073 and the Canon directline number was 619-320-8209 ( ext. 102 ). He asked my name and model #. He said Mike Wilson from Canada was trying to access my computer but he could help me with that.. He asked me to check my checking account for odd activity so I did. He also had me download Any Desk from the play store on my cell phone. Then I told him he wasn't helping me with my copier and ended the conversation. I unplugged the computer and took it in for maintenance and cleaning on Monday. I also froze the bank account for a few days. He did speak with a strong oriental accent. I hope this helps.
