The scam is coming from a phone number in the San Diego area code. I never pick up and when I call each number back a recording comes on saying, "This is Julie and she's from Rewards Redemption and that $100 is waiting for you...press 1 to call in to the rewards department". When I hit 1, it transfers to my call to a poor connection out of India - where the man on the line asks if you're calling about the free $100 gift card.

I received several calls on my cell phone. Caller states Rewards Redemption. The phone number is 844-287-2090. They state I visited one of their competitors. I have been selected to receive a $100 gift card good at Wal Mart Target and more. I became suspicious when they asked for my personal information. Bank account number or credit card number. They wanted approximately $4.99 for shipping and handling. The offer did not sound right to me. I questioned why I had to pay a small fee to get $100. I did not give out any personal information.

Just needed my back card number for shipping and handling in order to receive (3) $100 gift certificates to any number of huge chain retailers in my area. Please be on lookout for a company out of Billings, MT who may call you and tell you the same. The company name sais it is called Rewards Redemption but BBB could not find an address for the fake company. I have given the BB Bureau the information and the number I was contacted by phone was I 406 281- 7108........please be careful everyone.
