I called the number listed for Kalem Logistics at +1(405)-648-3964 and someone answered the phone Kalem how can I help you and I asked what is going on. The man on the phone said they tried calling me 3 times but no answer on my phone, I said no you didn't my phone never rang and I have no missed calls. He said he did and I missed the original flight out for the dog but if I rent this approved crate from them they can get the dog on the next flight out in an hour. I said frantically I would go to Western Union and send the money so my dog is not stranded. He said to email him proof of the payment receipt so they can then ship out my dog to me. I hung up the phone and then started to look into this bizarre call and email. I tried to contact the breeder by phone and the number was disconnected. I emailed the breeder and no response. I then called back Kalem Logistics and asked why do they not take credit card payments for this crate rental for the dog. Any leigimate business would take credit cards and not wire transfers and he got upset with me on the phone and said don't tell me how to run the business this is how it is done. I asked to talk to his supervisor and he said he was the manager. He then said if the money isn't sent for the crate rental then the dog can't be shipped out and someone will have to pick up the dog me or the breeder that dropped him off. I said do you have a phone number for the breeder that you can give me because the one I had for him is not working anymore. He then hung up on me. In my further looking into the Kalem Logistics website I saw other numbers listed for Quotes for shipping and it was a different number then the one I just called so I called that one and it was a dead number that didn't exist. That is when I fully realized I was massively scammed this whole time, but thank god I didn't fall for sending the additional money. I was ripped off the initial $830 for the dog but it could of been worse with this additional $1180 they were demanding for an additional shipping fee.
