In September I responded to an ad to receive free beauty products by paying only shipping and handling of $6.98. It indicated that this giveaway was being made because JC Penny’s and Sephora would be closing several of its stores and needed to get rid of products. I ordered and received three of them, paying only shipping and handling. I can not afford nor would I have ever agreed to 3 separate monthly charges of over $100 each for a moisturizer cream monthly membership!
In October and November my account was repeatedly debited by a company using several different names and numbers for additional products that were not requested nor were they received. As soon I realized what was happening, I contacted the bank.
I have requested a full refund which the customer service people refused to do. I called back and asked for email confirmation of each cancellation. They told me that email confirmation would be received 24-48 hours following cancellation. However, NOT even one of the three cancellation emails have been received....nothing!!
Each of those company names and numbers used to hit my account are routed to one customer service warehouse. They misinformed, misled or maybe even lied in the ad that I responded to.
Just last week another such ad popped up on my Facebook page. It was the exact same ad and format but this time it was offering a giveaway from Macy’s and Ulta!!!!
