Type of a scam Online Purchase
I am a previous employee of this business who walked out several months ago due to ethical concerns such as their targetting of local women with fat loss ads, lying about buyback programs advertised as "free"(screenshot provided) which actually cost $400 upftont, hosting raffles that ended in 40 2nd place winners whos money they took on a "prize" discount basis off thousands of dollars after luring those people into the building and pressuring them into weight loss programs). There will be several complaints filed. I continue to receive emails filled with lies to clients, to investors and to employees regarding "training wages". This has gotten completely out of control. It is tainting my local professional industry and the name of good hearted and decent Wellness consultants who are here to help to chronically sick. Not to steal from them. It is upsetting to me as a professional of over 10 years with an established code of professional ethics to see sick or insecure people being manipulated like this, stolen from and lied to. And then coerced into signing memberships...
This seems to qualify under sweepstakes fraud. An unknown amount of second place winners were called early in the morning during a raffle and offered a "prize" which they were enticed to come in and collect. The prize involved them spending 1000s on weight loss treatments via Cryo T Shock in order to receive percentages "off". Many of which would require financing. Customers were not told this openly until they reached the building and were very upset with the staff for the owners unethical behavior.
False advertisements on website stating "FREE" wellness services. There is no disclaimer which states at the initial point of asking for further contact information. It is a "buyback program". Not free. Otherwise luring the client into conversations and pressuring them into sales of just under $400 up front. They state that it is "free" because at the end of the paid program they receive services or months off. The only way to receive a refund for the $375 "free" dollars that the client pays is if they argue and essentially get into confrontation with the employees. Most of which who largely disagree with the policy because it is immensely unethical. They are required to pay many hundreds of dollars to receive those "free" services and are led to believe the refund process is quick and easy. But it is not. Many clients were very upset with this behavior and stormed out. and I am choosing to make it known in hopes no one will be tricked into this scam again.
I will happily update with the screenshots and anything other information I can from the emails so that you can see the misleading claims in one format. I can only send one but I will send the emails if given the chance. Please help our community.
