The owner of this business gave my family a quote on what it would cost to install former windows. He then proceeded to tell them that in order to start he would need money up front. They paid him to go get supplies. He did come back and start the windows, and when the project was almost done he said that he needed $7,500 to go get the roofing supplies. He took the check and ran. We never saw him again and he never completed the job. We took him to small claims court and won by default. However, he filed bankruptcy.
