The female who replied back asked if i could verify my income, i told her my situation and she agreed to come by and look at some information, (Bank records etc..) at my place of business.
I asked to come to their offices in Cleveland incase they may need to make a copy, or retain some information from me. She insisted on coming to my place of business instead.
I asked to see the apartments but she said they were still being worked on.
Which is unusual considering they show finished apartments on the Zillow application.
When she came in i asked her for a business card and she said she did not have any.. she looked at my information and then asked if she could take the statements with her. I told her I wouldn't feel comfortable letting her take my original copies, but she could snap a quick picture with her phone for the amounts she needed.
For the next 2 days she responded back asking for my wifes information, finally we responded back with all our personal information within the next day. Emails/ phone #s / responses to questions.
That was almost a week and a half ago.
All i need is confirmation my information was destroyed, and if this is even a legit management company. I have texts/ receipts/ etc.. i feel like this is a small scale rental scam. Im going to investigate more and also have to close my banking accounts for security purposes
