June 23rd, 2022 I hired Richard Smith to lay artificial grass and have it finished by or before July 20th, 2022. He gave me the start date for June 25th, 2022 and said the job would be complete within 7-10 days. He showed me cuts of grass and I chose the REV-20 so he wrote out a "contract" and said the job would be $7500 and it would be three payments. $2500 up front, then half way through $2500 and when job is complete the remaining $2500. We paid him $5750 in total for a job that is not complete and is not being done properly. He laid base down and wood but the wood is non treated so termites can infest it and it can mildew and mold. July 22nd,2022 he showed up at my house with artificial grass that was used, it had pee stains on it, bleach stains, black stains, and orange stains and also not the correct type of turf. I refused for him to put that in my yard as I paid him for new grass that was said to be REV-20. he then stated he was going to get my grass and never showed ack up. It went from he had our grass to he was going to Henderson to get it because he never had the right grass. Then from me being told he had his license he does not have a Arizona contracting license or landscaping. He scammed almost 6 grand from me. He flakes out and never comes to do the job or does it half fast and has excuses on why its not getting done. we have been giving him the reason of doubt but we have been too nice and when asked for our money back and we will just pay for the labor and the materials even though the materials are not the right ones for the job he does not reply. This has been going on since June, 25th to August now 2022. He also took my rake and shovel when he left when i said the used grass was not being placed in my yard as it also had pee stains on it. He left his trash, and branches that he cut off the tree behind my back gate as well.
