I tried to contact this Handyman for renovations. He took my deposit and never showed up. He never provided any supplies or services. He scammed me.

Rob took $500 in advance, promising to clean the house, fix the blinds, and apply a fresh coat of paint. He assured us daily updates and that we could meet the new tenant in a week. Initially, he called us daily, updating us on supposed progress and even posted our house on rental websites, claiming he had showings.
Five days later, my husband visited the house only to find a family already living there. This family, new immigrants to Canada, had been placed there by Rob three days prior, despite none of the promised work being done. Shockingly, our house was being used as an Airbnb without our knowledge.
Rob's response was unapologetic, stating he had nowhere else to place the family and would complete the house jobs next week. After a heated argument, Rob finally removed the family in the middle of the night. He has not returned our money despite numerous calls. He caused us so much stress and lied to us constantly.

Firstly, let me assure you that I have always conducted my business with the utmost professionalism and honesty. The recent accusation made against me regarding the misappropriation of funds is completely unfounded and misleading. Allow me to provide you with a clear account of what transpired.
Working with Dale Ricardo Williams was an experience that proved to be extremely challenging and frustrating. Despite my best efforts to provide exceptional service, it became apparent that it was impossible to work with this person.
Throughout the process of assessing and providing a quotation for the remodeling of his basement, Mr. Williams constantly changed his ideas and plans, making it difficult to establish a clear direction for the project. Despite numerous revisions and adjustments, he continued to modify his requirements, causing delays and a lack of progress.
I understand that clients may have changing needs and preferences, and I am always open to accommodating reasonable requests. However, in this particular case, Mr. Williams exhibited an inconsistent and unpredictable approach, making it nearly impossible for us to move forward effectively.
Despite the challenges, I remained dedicated to delivering the best possible outcome for Mr. Williams. I invested a significant amount of time and effort in understanding his vision, discussing various ideas, and creating detailed plans. However, these efforts were met with constant changes and shifting expectations, which hindered our progress and strained our working relationship.
It is important to note that I always strive to maintain open and honest communication with my clients. However, in this situation, it became increasingly clear that Mr. Williams was not interested in constructive dialogue, he wanted his money back so he could buy a turkey for Thanksgiving. Instead, he resorted to public accusations of theft, which are completely baseless and unjust.
I want to emphasize that my intention has always been to provide top-quality service and to work collaboratively with my clients. However, in this particular case, it became clear that working with Mr. Williams was simply impossible due to the constant changes in his requirements and plans.
