I received a paid postage letter in the mail stating that I supposedly had an unclaimed "payable on death" life insurance policy from a deceased person in Canada that shares my last name. They attempt to establish a sense of urgency by reporting that they only have 2-4 years to find the relative and that this is the 4th year they have tried to contact me. They also report they want to share 90% of the money with myself and that 10% must go to charity. The letter is post marked from Canada. The letter is addressed to myself and includes my home address.
