They sent over a transfer of ownership, which looked like a certificate you would upload from the internet. We were to sign and return, which we did.
They made the shipping arrangements and sent us the confirmation code and website to track the shipment. Once I went on to the shipping website to track, it looked very suspicious. www.globalpetcargologistics.com . When I put in tracking number, it said puppy successfully registered for doorstep delivery. Shipping status said processing because puppy was undergoing pre-flight check up by the shipping company's vet to make sure it's okay to be shipped on plane. I started looking at the entire website and new something was up. The quote by their CEO is signed by John Doe. When you go to Get a Quote: it had some very weird verbiage there. On meet the team, some names didn't match and their customer service agent had a quote about her soul, etc.
I immediately called my bank and reported fraud.
Then, I received and email and phone call from the shipper saying the dog was in a crate that didn't meet their crate standard. Now, they wanted a refundable caution fee of $1500 for new crate and $10 for an anti-stress vaccine before the dog could be shipped. It said the money would be refunded to us upon delivery of the puppy.
Now they wanted even more money to get the dog to me.
I called the so called breeder who kept avoiding my call, saying he was driving. He finally answered and I told him he needs to get a new crate and get it to them right away. Call was disconnected and went back to text only.
I told him I didn't have any more money to send. I had just lost my other dog and had vet bills. So he then proceeds to try to barter with me. He said he would split the $1500 with me. I avoided him. Next, it would only take an extra $600 from me to get the puppy shipped.
He texted me at 1:45 a.m. asking "What's Next?"
Avoid this scammer and Beware of any breeders selling dogs online. The police advised to only send payment via paypal or check in the future. Never send payments via Zelle. Ask the breeder to have a facetime or zoom call to see the puppies.
I just bought a puppy from them, why didn't I experience all of what you just said? I wonder who's paying you to put up such a blackmail. Karma is real.
