An advertisement came up from the web about Robertson-Bros.com regarding equipment for sale. I contacted the phone number listed and talked with a female named Shelly Robertson. We talked about and worked a verbal agreement on price for a John Deere 323D they have listed on their site. We both agreed on the price for the equipment. I had to physically review the equipment in person and verify the equipment was as listed. So I called and talked with Shelly the morning of my departure to verify it was still available and she said it was. I said I was 4.5 hour drive away from the location listed on the web site. She great see you later. I made the drive and arrived at the location in Ogden Utah and called Robertson ph # and Shelly answered, I told her I had arrived. She said great and would have her mechanic open the gates and show me the equipment. So as I was waiting for over 2 hours no one showed up to show me the equipment. I mad 4 more calls to Robertson ph# and no answer, I had my wife call the same # and Shelly answered the call and as soon as my wife said she was with me Shelly abruptly hung up the phone and after several more attempts to reach them with no success or mechanics showing I left there address and drove back 4.5 with no more contact. To me this is some kind of scam taking place there in Ogden Utah and I want anybody else local or like out of state to beware.
