I was contacted by Rochelle White on Dec 11th 2023 via email about a job opportunity. It started with the attached initial point of contact email message which is payed at the end of this document . I was asked to download a messenger app called ring central to conduct my interview. Once done I confirmed that I had that and the interview took place. It was all via chat. I did maintain contact with Rochelle for days moving forward with the employment process. I had many questions that went unanswered. Rochelle then stated that I needed to do a written assessment to determine if I could handle working without a lot of assistance. Then Rochelle sent me a congratulatory email stating your hired. I was told to be on the lookout for an offer letter which I did receive. It had all the professional verbiage. On the offer letter there was a different name Alison Slowey (job title)Vice President of Human Resources. Days went by with no contact from Rochelle which made since it was the weekend. Then Rochelle contacts me Dec 19th and states that my supplies are on the way along with work books and w2 and payroll information soon. Also Rochelle stated there was a check attached with deposit instructions. Now I was already suspicious with some of this information but when the check for the amount of 4,299.00 and instructions on how to deposit the check. That was the ultimate red flag that this was a scam. I didn’t deposit any money in my account. I have all emails saved if needed for further investigation. Here is the initial contact email.

Hi,

I am writing to you today to invite you to an interview for the Remote Data Entry position at Asegua Therapeutics. We were impressed with your qualifications and experience, and we would like to learn more about you. Your resume was provided to us via LinkedIn. We believe that you would be a strong asset to our team.

We would like to schedule an online interview with you tomorrow, December 12th. Please let us know if you are available at any of the following times:

EST times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM.

Please let us know your preferred time and we will send you an online invitation.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

I was contacted by a hiring manager named "Rochelle White" about a Remote Data Entry position with their company Asegua Therapeutics. Here is the email I received: "Hi I am writing to you today to invite you to an interview for the Remote Data Entry position at Asegua Therapeutics. We were impressed with your qualifications and experience, and we would like to learn more about you. Your resume was provided to us via LinkedIn. We believe that you would be a strong asset to our team.

I scheduled the 10:00 am time slot and was sent an email telling me to sign up for RingCentral as that was where I was going to have the interview. I did and the next day I was expecting to receive a video call but instead was instructed to fill out a form and answer some questions in the RingCentral chat. There was no real interview and then they said to wait 3 days to hear back and see if I got the job. In a pdf they gave vague information about the job responsibilities and they were offering $35/an hour and $25/an hour for training.

I was a victim for this same company! I went through the same process you just mentioned and was approved for the position!
Rochelle White even sent me a fake check for my work requirements, which my bank bounced immediately!

Asegua Therapeutics is a scam!
