DO NOT send this lady any money! She is not producing the maine c o o n kittens that she is advertising!

I was trying to find a Maine C o o n kitten to buy for my boyfriend. I came across this website and found one that I knew he would love. I had to type in my email, phone number, and name. She then messaged me back by phone number. She emailed me the kittens contract that I had to sign and acknowledge and reply with my shipping address. On their page it says that the price would be 20% discounted and free shipping for anyone in the USA, and then she told me that it’s $115 for shipping and $80 more for doorstep delivery if we chose that option as well. The cost of the kitten in total ended up being $995. We tried to get the money sent to her through cash app, Zelle, Google Pay, PayPal, and not one of them allowed the payments to go through for a while. Finally, $300 was sent in cash app to her daughter and then $300 was sent through Zelle. The rest wouldn’t send. Then she asked for pictures of my card, front and back, so she could finish the payments herself. I asked for my money back, and it wouldn’t send once again. I’m waiting for my money to get back to me still. We will see if it ends up working. If not, then I’m out of $600. Lessons learned. Just warning others.

They stated they had maine c o o n cat and paid the 915.00 but were scammed. They stated they were in Oregon. I found it hard to believe because they responded at what would be odd times like 3am in Oregon. They had lots of misspelled words which should clue anybody. They also do not produce any papers on any b of these cats. They sent me a video of bright and was not the same cat. Then they wanted us to pay 1500 for Marine crate. They need to be shut down.

Claiming they live at 230 N Lotus Isle Dr Portland, OR 97217 trying to collect a “refundable” deposit on a purebred maincoon cat before I go pick it up. Gave me the email [email protected] for PayPal “friends and family” with the name Macey Kayla. I refused friends and family because I wasn’t covered through that option, which then he/she tried to convince me into it saying they needed the money for the paperwork and other crap. The person texting me using misspelled words that didn’t make total sense was just one of many red flags. The website is littered with inconsistencies from reviews clearly copy and pasted(one talking about a puppy) and using another cattery name under their description.

They almost got me because I asked for more photos of Cindy and they sent me 4 different ones immediately. I told them why I was looking to purchase a cat, and that it was for my mother for Christmas, since she has to put her 16 year old dog down the day before thanksgiving. Disgusting scammers taking advantage of people in vulnerable emotional positions.

I forgot to say the number he/she used is 256-600-2531!

Hello well my daughters and I almost got scammed from her !
But my gut kept telling me something wasn't right ...she texted me last night and was offering half off for yesterday only so the cat we were looking at was Charlie she offered him to me for $400 plus $115 for shipping !
Then I noticed her name Rocky Mountain main c o o n s there already is a Rocky Mountain Maine c o o n s second red flag ...then I asked her to send me a recent picture of Charlie since the last we text was Nov 8th she send me the same pic third flag then I said to you have pics of the parents she said yes I waited no repose tried calling her she said she is mute /def since birth !
Then my daughter found this so Here I am sharing my experience thus far she send me a picture of her car and neighborhood on an accident so I'm going to post that here I'm on hold with Portland police department we need to shut this person down how very sad we also lost her cat a month ago and this cat was going to be a surprise for my husband because our cat rock it was his buddy!

I found a kitten on the web site rockymtnmainecoons.com and sent a message through the web site. Rosalind Thompson contacted me using her phone # 209-215-2743. The web site advertised free shipping and free crate using their preferred carrier. She had me send 915.00 through Zelle to her. The next day she sent me a text saying she left the animal at the airport and sent me a link to her shipper, Optime Logistics. They kept trying to give the sense of urgency saying the animal was in a small box at the airport and they could not ship it unless I sent $1200.00 to the shipper to rent a climate controlled crate. They kept on insisting that was to rent it and 95% would be refunded once I picked up the cat. I asked for the shippers email to send the money-- they gave me the email address of [email protected]. That REALLY didn't sound right to me. I googled this Optime Logistics and instantly this web site caught my eye. That's when I read the stories of the other people that got scammed by them. I did not send the shipping money but I am out the $915.00 for now. I did report them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau. I strongly suggest everyone else to do the same that have been scammed by these worthless jerks. Get them investigated, caught and prosecuted ASAP.

Also she continued to say this kitten was 5 wks old. I should have known. Most do not let them leave until 10 weeks

This was another kitten pic shown to me

I had the exact same experience with the same names and stories involved. The only difference is I paid 731.00 due to 20% off if I paid yesterday. Below is the kitten I was supposed to be buying for my daughter for Christmas. Rockymountaincoon.com
Rosalind Thompson was the name given for my communication. Is there anything I can do?

Contacted scammer through website inquiring about Main [censored] kittens. Discussed available pets via text. Scammer shared additional photo of kittens. Website is very similar in name to legitimate business with ScamPulse.com reviews, preliminary search via Google related to the site and potential scam did not result in anything that raised attention.

Selected a kitten and paid the fee, signed a very legitimate looking contract related to health guarantee and agreement to veterinary care, etc. Red flags started popping up more the next day as part of the setup of transport information. The delivery company supposedly took the kitten and w[censored]ding it until paid for an air conditioned carrier due to temperature concerns and "COVID Regulations". I then searched that company for relationships to reported scams and found others who had paid for a kitten or puppy with the same crate rental request.

Additional searches came up with more results related to the scammers pet website. I informed the delivery company that the transport was being cancelled as I was not going to pay the rental fee. Sent screenshots of the scam claims to the scammer via text (the other individual had paid for the same cat I did), they denied knowing anything about it. The scammer would not answer a phone call due to being at the hospital with their daughter after an accident (yeah right). I demanded my money be returned, to which the scammer agreed but I do not expect I will see anything back.

We recently lost our cat and wanted to move on from the heartache and get another kitten or, in this case, so they didn't get lonely. My 12 year old daughter and I started looking for a new kitty to adopt and after carefully looking at several different web sights for this particular Maine C o o ne breed against my better judgment I decided to risk it and purchase two cats from this lady that calls herself Christy Washington. So on October 17, 2021 I paid through Zelle $1480.00 for two make believe kittens. The strange thing is "Christy" was in contact the whole time up until this phony logistics shipping company sent me an email saying due to the harsh climate the kittens need a climate control crate for $1275.00 which part of it would be refunded after shipping. Then I came across this website, and now I'm sitting here writing this. Please contact me if there's anything I can do to help catch these monsters.
