Called and said our power will be turned off in 1 hour if we do not call this number (1-800-831-1278) and pay them. They claimed to be calling from Rocky Mountain Power.

We called our power company and everything was normal, we do not owe any money, so we know this was a scam.

The person called me and informed me my power bill was behind and informed he was going to shut power off if it wasn't paid. He wouldn't take a debit card and instructed me to purchase a money pack card and he would call me back which I did. He called me back and I gave him the card number to pay the bill. He called me a couple days later and said they were putting new power meters and I would have to pay for that and he would call me back and I contacted my lawyer and he told me companies don't do that. He never called me back. I got my next power bill and the money I paid was not on the bill so I called Rocky Mountain Power and they informed me after I told them the incident that happened that I had been scammed.
