The technician of Rooter Hero told me it would cost me $2,000 to fix a leaking elbow for my sprinkler system. I told him that the price was unreasonable. He then proceeded to bargain with me and said he'll do it for $400 cash under the table. I said no. Then he said $200 cash. I told him no and to leave. He wouldn't leave unless I paid him the $49.99 service call fee and initial something on his ipad. I immediately contacted my bank to cancel the check for $49.99. I called another plumbing company and they fixed the issue for $150. I believe they are trying to rip me off by quoting $2,000 hoping I would agree or they are quoting a ridiculous amount so that they can collect the $49.99 for doing absolutely no work.
