roto-rooter was contacted to snake a main sewer at my fathers duplex house. My father is a 98 year old vet that is struggling health wise. I asked for a price on what they charge for the service, but was informed they could not over the phone the tech would estimate price at the house..after waiting the entire day with sewage backing up they finally show up and inform me that it would be $440.00 plus tax if it could be unplugged from outside the house and $550..00 if they had to go in the house. i am retired after working 30 years in the plumbing field and have preformed this task dozens of times at my dads house which take all of 20 minutes. I have had other plumbing contractors do the job for $120.00. This company are preying on people who are in a predicament with sewage backing up in their house so they are at the mercy of their inflated prices. The tech also said they would return the next day to put a camera down the line to make sure all was good free of charge but never called or showed. If my doctor and lawyer tag teamed me it wouldnt cost that much.
