Type of a scam Online Purchase
My wife and I were looking for Bernese Mountain dogs. We found Royal Bernese Mountains website. They had a really cheap price and had puppies available. We contacted them via email. He was very eager to get us a puppy. My wife had to ask him where they were located because no where on the website was it listed. We arranged for a phone call so we could ask questions and arrange a visit. He was supposed to call us and never did. I guess he realized that we were not an easy target and his time was better spent scamming someone else. Luckily we did not send a deposit, but i wanted to get this information to the bbb so others can be warned.
Red flags we noticed.
1. The price was really cheap
2. Website wording was strange, said he was "called Charles J. Harrison" vs. "my name is Charles Harrison"
3. Mixed up first and last name on website. the Charles family.
4. no mention of their location anywhere on their website
5. state they require a deposit before you can visit their location
6. one of the testimonials used the wrong breed of dog. Border Collie vs. Bernese Mountain Dog
Reading through the pet scams for Bernese Mountain dogs on your site, I saw several that could be the same scammer. One in particular mentioned a Bernese named Tattoo, which there is a Bernese on the scam site currently that is named Tattoo.
