I applied for a job suggestion that LinkedIn sent me. About a week later I was sent a message on LinkedIn from Danny Lambert Director, Business Development at Repeated Signal Solutions, Inc. stating that my application was reviewed and they would like to schedule a briefing to discuss my experience and asked me to email [email protected] with my contact information. I sent the email with my name, email and phone number and received a response asking me to scan a qr code which brought me to a Microsoft Teams chat. I then spoke with John Burke via Teams for the interview. They then sent me an offer letter via teams and told me that Mr. Paige would contact me directly to discuss my responsibilities. I received a whatsapp message from Richard Paige Private Crypto Vendor/ Buy & Sell BTC and Digital Assets phone number 478-778-5819, who stated the job was to be his personal assistant and that he needed me to create two crypto accounts on two different platforms. He then told me he had mailed me a check and to let him know when it gets there to proceed. I received a check via UPS in the amount of $5,000. This is when I realized this was a scam. I did not cash or deposit the check.
