As told to a ScamPulse.com staff member. On Friday, June 30 late in the evening an individual stopped by to sealcoat my asphalt driveway. I am a elderly senior with a small driveway and he said that he had came by last year. This year he said he could guarantee the work for 8 yrs. so I would not have to have it done every year. The next day I called a neighbor/friend and asked if he did a good job, and was told no and that I also paid him too much. I paid him by check $1893.00 to his name Reuben Jones. He cashed the check the very next morning since it was so late in the evening and could not that night. She states that she did get a return call from him and he said he would come back on Friday to discuss refunding a small portion of my money since she told him she paid too much. My friend told me to contact the ScamPulse.com and the police to let them know I was scammed so others may be warned.
