I was on Facebook and loooked on Marketplace and found a camper, it was an 1985 Chevy Winnebago, class C, 21 foot, this had 91,000 and this person was selling it for 800.00. I contacted her via email, she gave me all the details about it and also sent me pictures of the inside and the outside of the camper then she said that she wanted to go thru ebay because it was safe for both of us. I went out and bought 800.00 in ebay cards because when I contacted what I thought was ebay, I was told that I had to purchase ebay cards to pay for the camper. I purchased the cards, then I did a live chat and gave them the numbers on the back, then I was told by ebay that my camper would ship to me within 3 days. 2 days later I was contacted by ebay stating that I needed to pay 800.00 for insurance because the camper was being sold for less than what it was valued at, once I paid for the insurance, the camper would be shipped to me and once it was delivered , I would get my money for the insurance refunded via money order, cash or cashiers check. I went out and got more ebay cards and called back with those numbers to pay for the insurance. I was told at that time from ebay that I should receive my shipment in2-3 days. The next day, I email ebay and the person that was selling the camper to try and get tracking information, I never got a response from anyone. I continued to email and call and nothing. About 3 days later, I finally got a hold of a person at ebay, st least I thought it was ebay they told me they I had been scammed. He tried to tell me that if I paid another 800.00 I could get my camper the next day, I knew this was not true, so I just hung up on him because now I don’t trust anyone. I have the phone number for the person I talked to that told me I had been scammed and I have every email that I had with this person that scammed me. I really hope this person/persons can get caught because they took all of my Christmas money for my children. I look forward to hearing from you. Thavjbyiu!
