This issue is regarding the misrepresentation of a vehicle sold to a Maryland Consumer by Ryder Systems, Inc. in Tukwila, Washington. Recently purchased a vehicle from one of Ryder Sales Offices (see below) who sold a vehicle under false pretenses. The consumer was provided vehicle specs and proceeded with the $9000 deposit and additional financing to purchase of a vehicle totaling $40k. Once the vehicle financing was secured (by CalFunding referred by Ryder), it was disclosed that the vehicle sold needed repairs. This was not disclosed at the onset of the deal.

Needless to say, this put a consumer in a financial bind as he was under the impression that the vehicle was sold without any repairs to be done. There's more to the circumstances but we are getting the runaround and not getting results after he has provided his funds and is locked in financing (see finance company below). The consumer cannot afford to keep getting the runaround about the sales of this vehicle. In addition, we lost money for a flight from Maryland to Tukwila because Priceline declined provide a refund or credit. To date, the vehicle is in an undisclosed location because no one knows or is honest about where the vehicle is as it was last supposed to be someone being repaired. All that is known is that the vehicle is in Tukwila, Washington, if the vehicle exists.

We have attempted to contact several of Ryder Systems, Inc employees at the Corporate Office within the past 24hrs and awaiting a response regarding or assistance in resolving the matter on a corporate level.

We are located in Maryland and proceeded with the transaction based on what was known (the vehicle was ready for either shipment or pickup). Now payment is due in October and no one can provide information about where the vehicle is and if it exists, if they are making the necessary repairs so it can be picked up. There’s more to the issue and we have evidence of communications but no resolution. We feel as though we were tricked into purchasing a vehicle that needed repairs that was not disclosed in the beginning before the financing was completed and the salesman is not telling the truth about its existence after he got the money for the vehicle.

I pray this finds someone who can help with resolving the matter. We’re considering legal representation but really cannot afford it but we feel it’s necessary to get back what we’ve lost and our experience.

We have more attachments but it has consumer information on it (account numbers, names, etc)
