I reached out to a potential job offer on craigslist. He told me his name was Aaron Thompson, and that he ran an ecommerce business. He told me that he had a job opening for "processing online applications". We used Skype to do a video call so he could show me how to process the application. Before showing me, he had me look up my IP address, and he got my IP address from the google search. He then continued to process an application for Walmart.com using my IP address. After that, I never heard from him, even though he said he would be in contact so I could process applications, and he would pay me to do it. I now know that hacker can use your IP address to gain access to your personal info, so I left my computer off for months. When I try to call or contact him, I can't. His phone number no longer works when I call it.
