I was trying to determine why auto carriers suddenly raised my rates (tripled) when I have no at fault accidents am I'm a "safe driver". I was referred to this site. This site has three button/options to purchase. Two options which charge members $28.95 monthly for periods of time. The 3rd option is a one-time purchase of a single page report for $1.00 (only). I selected my own single page report and I paid the $1.00 and downloaded the report (08/16/24). Then, today almost one month later - I received a credit card fraud alert about a denied attempted $28.95 charge from this company. When I discussed the issue in an online chat with the company they seemed carefree and merely informed me they closed my account and I would not be billed the 'remaining amount due (???). I tried to explain this was not a membership - rather it was the single report $1.00 purchase option as it is clearly still showing as of todays' date (09/14/24) on the web site. They just stated something like - what does it matter - we closed your account already. I told them it matters, because i never authorized you to maintain my credit card information for future charges and now you caused a credit card fraud alert which locked and closed my card with my credit card company. My credit card company is sending me a new card but this company or someone at the company should be reprimanded for this reckless, possibly attempted theft.
