He came door-to-door selling home security systems. I agreed and signed the contract. It was for 60 months which I was not aware. I have tried to cancel the contract several times, but was told I can’t. I had to ride it out. Or pay the reminder of the lease. I told them that I wanted to cancel the contract when it came due February. When I called in February they said I can’t cancel because I signed another contract for six months. I did not sign a second copy but they showed me a copy which they never sent me a copy. I was not aware of a second copy I did not sign a second copy. So to get out of this contract, I have to pay the remainder of five years . They told me I had to go to the police department. Police department sent me to sheriffs department. Talked with the sheriff. Explain to him and showed him my contract. He said I owe that company. Nothing go ahead and cancel the agreement. Stop payment from your checking account. when I told them what the sheriff said they said no you can’t do that. So now I’m stuck with a contract I don’t want my husband has already passed in 22. I am no longer getting his money to help me. Is there anything you can do , thank you for listening
