My computer went off with sirens, etc. It was last May, 2021, but I think that there was either a call or pop-up about not turning my computer off and they'd run some diagnostics on it. They fixed it and gave me different payment alternatives. I chose a lifetime payment of $1146.00. I sent a check to Digy Leap. Dec., 2021 I started having problems and and they said it was hackers from 5 different locations. They needed to put an external firewall in. Not sure if that was true since I don't know a lot about computers. They were charging me $3552.00 for lifetime. I talked to my son the next day. He has his own business doing podcasts and websites. He told me it was a scam and not to pay it. I have not paid it. They were calling me every day for awhile. They've called twice this week. One night they called my home phone and called it 14 times in a row and then called my cell another 4 times one right after the other. Thats what they do every time they call. It's getting old. I'm usually pretty good at not getting caught up in scams for my age. But it was so annoying when I couldn't get the sounds off. I got so frustrated and anxiety set in. I can't find anything about them to know if they're definitely a scam, but I have several different phone numbers, mostly 800 numbers. Alot of them they just got on Jan. 25, 2022. Not sure if they keep changing numbers so they won't get caught or what. I'm pretty sure it's a scam or they would be sending me to a collection agency by now. I've been blocking them on my cell phone, but I can't block them on my home phone. I'd just get rid of it but my husband wants to keep it, but I did find a home phone where I'll be able to block them. Just wanted to let people know that it's probably not a good idea to use them. They're doing like alot of other people that have complained about their scams.

I to have had experience with digyleap. Who do I talk to for help..
I went through the same thing the previous person went through. I don't know anyone that can help me. Please if there ny information you can give me please do. I have paid them over $600.00. They say my computer is corrupted and quoted me 3 options for a security plan. 1 is $898.99, 2 is $1549.40 and the life time plan is $1998.99. I am a senior citizen and don't have that kind of money. I don't know what to do or where to go for help. My experience was the same bells, whistles and loud noises. Instructions to call a certain number. Please what do I do to get out of this mess. Don't know how much they will keep finding ways of scamming me out of money. It's like blackmail, each the price is higher and higher. Who do I talk too. It's looks like I'm not the only illiterate computer person. I feel so dumb for allowing myself to be a victim this way.

RE: UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS / DIGYLEAP Computer Protection Racket Scam
I believe that on November 17, 2020, I first fell prey to a computer scam by UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS. I guess I am just too gullible, trusting and don’t know enough about computers. While I was on the internet, my computer suddenly was irrupted with alarm bells and a warning audio message telling me not to shut down my computer, data will be lost and to call a phone number on the screen and get help. At first I thought the call I was making was to my internet service provider or Microsoft, but I was connected with UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS in Florida. Once they were contacted, they instructed me on the steps I needed to take to stop the annoying loud alarms, which involved unplugging my computer and disconnecting it from the internet. All the while I hung on the phone line talking with them. After I reconnected the computer they had me download “Any Desk” app so they could get on my computer and correct the problems. They uploaded various security programs that were supposed to protect my computer. They offered to do computer checks every month with 3 tiers of support. They seemed to be doing a good job and I opted for the lifetime service plan for $999.98.
They called and text messaged me in December 2020 and January 2021 and performed their monthly check on my computer, which took between 20 and 30 minutes each time. Then on January 15, 2021, only a couple days after they had done the monthly computer check, “they” called and told me that one of the internet security programs that they had installed would not function correctly with Window 10. They said they needed to install a different program. After they installed the program they said that it was $300.00 cheaper than the previous one and that they were going to refund me $300.00 by direct deposit to my checking account. I logged onto my checking account and they asked me to make note of my current balance. Then they deposited $5000.00 into my account, or at least that is what I was lead to believe. Somehow they had duplicated the appearance of my bank’s on-line account page perfectly and I REALLY believed that they had put $5000.00 into my checking account. The technician I was talking to, was a good actor, he was almost in tears saying he was going to lose his job for making a $5000.00 transfer instead of the $300.00 transfer. I tried to use Zelle to send them $4700.00 back but it wouldn’t work for that large amount. They kept me on the phone and instructed me to buy $500.00 gift cards at a nearby drug store. I was only able to buy $1,750.00 worth of gift cards before I reached the limit allowed by the store. When I returned home, I checked my bank account and realized that I had been scammed. They had not deposited the $5000.00 into my account and my account was just about drained. I immediately visited the local branch of my bank and they froze my checking and savings accounts and opened new accounts with new passwords.
When UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS called in February to do their monthly computer check, I told them I was scammed by them. They said that they didn’t do it and that they had a warning in their service agreement about the scam that I fell for. I told them their warning should have been in red ink and at the top of the agreement, instead of buried within it. I now believe, although I have no proof, that they put this warning in their literature so that they can claim that they were not involved in the scam. What better way to elude suspicion than to warn customers of the very scam they themselves are doing.
Since I had paid them $999.98 for lifetime service, UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS performed their monthly checks on my computer on March 19 and April 19, 2021. We had agreed that their computer checks would be done on the 19th day of each month. To prevent any other people calling me and pretending to be UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS, I was instructed to ask for a response to a security question and to have them provide my customer code number. On April 24, 2021, UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS called and told me that nine hackers had compromised my computer and that one of them was using my identity and email to send porn. In order to fix this problem they got on my computer for 24 hours to block all hackers and install new “External Security” programs. I was requested to pay for this additional security. Again they had a one year, three year and lifetime options. They were going to give me a discount on account of the fact that I had been scammed before. The cost of the lifetime "security package" was $2,401.00, including technician fees and California state sales taxes. I told them I didn’t have that much money and was still trying to recover from the loss of the scam in January. I agreed to pay in three installments with postdated checks starting in June 2021. I was asked to make the checks out to DIGY LEAP and scan them and then mail them.
I couldn’t sleep the following night as I finally started to think that this “tech service” was just not right. I contacted a friend of mine who had worked 33 years in the IT field before retiring. She told me that their operation sounded like a gentle form of ransomware where they keep you on the hook forever. Essentially a high-tech version of a protection racket. She recommended that I not pay them another dime. She also advised that I change all my passwords and request two step authentication on all important accounts. She advised that I copy all my files from my computer to an external hard drive and then reformat my computer hard drive to wipe any Trojan programs installed by UPTECH IT SOLUTIONS from my computer. I have called my bank and stopped payment on the checks.

Guess I have just been scammed! And how do I get out of it?
I was making a distribution from my 401 k to my checking account when I got the pop ups and sound blasts prompting me to dial Web IP Support. Considering our laptop is 10 years old with windows 7 , I fell for it. After 2 hours of on line diagnostics , I was offered 3 or 5 year plan to safeguard and fix all my problems ( Trojan, network and computer compromised). I negotiated fir a 1 year deal and then I was turned over to tech support who started downloading and updating my laptop. But also asked me to write my check to Digyleap and scan it to them. My scanner was off line so they don’t have my signature yet.

What should I do?

I too was contacted, because my new computer crashed. they were going to clean it up. They did load some software located on the right side of computer. Should I delete it? Can I stop payment of electronic check.

I had the same thing happen only I was on FB, total charge for 3 years of there service is $635.99. They have yet to cash my e-check and thinking of putting a stop payment. I am not super computer illiterate but smelled a rat in the way they invaded me. Not sure how it happened but think it might have something to do with my printer? Told me to look for charge to be on my statement in about 15 days. Also they want to check my computer every 30 days for glitches and up dates.

Is there any way to stop payment. Are they a scam?

- Santa Clara, CA, USA

I in at adversely click on this website while reading my msn news. My computer irrupted in to bells and whistles and voice activation telling me not to shut down my computer, data will be lost and to call this number and get help; they are DIGY LEAP out of New York and from there I was sent to Live IP Support in Orlando, FL.

Once the number is dialed you get a tech support telling you this and that will happen, and you need to act to save your data. Not knowing the computer programming aspect, they know you want to save your data and your information from lost all the while they are one stealing from you.

Once they were contacted, they took over my computer and started uploading and placing all sort of blockers and tracking. They gave three Tiers of payment and I chose the lowest one and by the time I was done; I was being billed for $498.07 which started at $299 package.

With all the loud noise for what seem like 20 minutes they know you want it off and they take their time turning it off to keep you under anxiety. Then once the salesperson takes your money and sign you up, they turn you over to Live IP Support out of Orlando, Florida giving you information that you already have and sending you email to approve the payment and telling you if anyone calls you from the computer company, or a previous software company, hang up and do not talk with them.

I thank God for His interception on all this. Reminded that I had worked in the high-tech industries, I know no company who would not talk to you concerning their product. This led me to call and get help directly from my computer company, which turned out to be a blessing and get me out of the mess a lot cheaper.

I thank God it was a Sunday, and my previous check could not be processed before I could put a stop payment to it. Which the last thing the third party kept saying, stating, be sure to answer the call on Monday so the payment will go through. I thank God for prompting me on key words that I had learned in my previous high-tech career, that was being said, that I knew was not true. These guys are not to be trusted.

If you are not a computer programmer, you really don't know what all the stuff they are running and pasting in your account.
