In the parking lot clinic, there was a partitioned-off line, leading towards a enclosed canopy (large tent). I asked if it was free, and they said yes. The did have some forms, but I do not recall the details of those forms. The collected my drivers license and insurance card. I waited outside for a half a hour before they ushered me into the tent. they swabbed my nostrils, and I left. Weeks later, I received a bill for $140.47. I called my insurance, and they said it was ridiculous, and not to pay. They told me it was horribly inflated. So, over 2 years later now, I receive a bill for $1160.00. Office visit was charged $383, Services provided at Urgent Care: $364, $168 for a Saturday visit, and $85 for additional materials and staff. The swab was $15. Collection fee is $70. Originally, there was no charge on the bill for weekend service and services provided at urgent care, and there was a $257 savings on the office visit (parking lot tent) This brought the original bill to $140. I have an original bill from 2022, as well as the gross overcharge I received today. They said they will take me int litigation in 3 days if I do not pay $1,160 immediately.
