I received a text from T-mobile (well it thought it was) requesting me to complete a survey and receive a free gift. So I did the survey, and one of the "free Gifts" was cheap earpods...only had to pay the 9.99 for shipping. So I did it! Later that month I go a charge for 94.86 on my Apple Card. I had no idea what it was so I disputed it. Finally, 3 months later, we (the bank and I) figured out who the merchant was...Salty Town Diet. I was all associated with this text I got to do a survey and claim my free gift.

I called T-mobile to let them know and they said they do not text with surveys. Sure enough in the fine print, it says the survey is not endorsed by T-mobile!

Apparently I paid 9.99 for a free trial of 14 days (fine print somewhere)!

It gets worse. I called their customer service only to be laughed at and told, "say bye bye to your money ma'am." "This is a win win for us! You will never see your money again."

NEVER click on a survey that comes through text!
