Type of a scam Government Grant
The person calling and using a DC area code said he was calling from SAM and identified himself as my "SAM caseworker". He said he was calling to help me finish the SAM registration process. He asked if our organization was applying for federal grants or federal contracts. He asked for our CAGE code so he could reference our file.
It seemed a bit fishy as I had completed the SAM and CAGE process and had all documentation from the federal government. And, it was strange someone would phone, and want to know information already submitted.
I said I was busy and would call back in half hour.
Then I phoned the Federal Service Desk and we determined this was a scam.
