I purchased a puppy from this website and sent him an american express gift card for $250 downpayment. He was supposed to meet me and my grandson last Friday in Valdosta for me to pick up the puppy, but didn't show. He cashed the gift card and took the website down and then opened it back up this week under Zammaltesepuppies.com with the exact same puppies for sale.

I was looking for a Maltese puppy and his website came up. $500 for the puppy and $150 for delivery to my doorstep by a pet carrier airline. Also, I paid him $500 through Zelle which was my banks daily limit. He then requested me to send the other $150 on a Vanilla Master Card gift card, of which I did. Thought it was weird but did so anyways. He proceeded to tell me that the airline carrier would call me and give me airline and flight numbers. The carrier proceeded to tell me that I either needed to buy an air conditioned pet carrier or rent one at the cost of $1650 for the rental. He said I would get 98% back once the pet carrier was returned. I did not agree to this. I emailed the seller and the seller said he would pay half and I could pay half for the rental. I would not agree to that either. Reminded the seller he would send puppy to my door. I’m out $650. Never heard from seller again.
