Total money lost $325
Type of a scam Online Purchase
During the process they offered me a $325 trade in value for my old phone. Which seemed like a great price. I accepted. I did a factory data reset on my trade in phone the Pixel 5. I restarted it to confirm it w[censored]d and booting up to the new owner screen. I mailed it in and Samsung marked it as accepted. 90+ days later Samsung emailed me at 6pm saying that my trade in was rejected and it was the final day to request my old phone back and be billed $325. Or they would recycle the phone and still charge me $325. It's a belated blatant scam. They offer more than a phone is worth to sweeten the deal.. then they wait 3 months until your credit line has $325 available because you've been making payments. Then they give you the 24hr notice to accept the charge or lose the phone and be charged anyway. It's not remotely reasonable to wait 90+ days then give a 24hr warning and have zero capability to contest the decisions it's a scam. My one was in perfect condition. It was 1yr old. Never out of a case. And I factor reset it myself then manually confirmed it. They lie. If they do this same lie to 30,000 people then they are stealing 10 million dollars.
