The man came to my door claiming to be a meter reader and needing information to make sure my bill didn't get go up. He kept assuring me it wasn't a sale, even though everything said sale. After he got my information he said I'd be receiving a confirmation call and she would ask if he'd left and I should tell the man yes even though he hadn't, because he wanted to make sure everything went through. Even the lady on the phone lied, saying it wasn't a sale. At this point I couldn't ignore my guy any longer. I told her "no I didn't consent to anything" and asked the man to get off my property please. He became hostile but he left. I'm hoping they won't switch me over because I said I did not consent, but Ohio Edison's said they could anyways with the information.
