The person contacted me through Google Hangouts after emailing me that I had been selected for an interview for a work from home job. After letting me know I got the job, the person sent me a fake check through the mail and told me to cash it in after the check had cleared. I put the check through my ATM and the funds were added to my account. I sent a cashier's to the vendor to get the materials for my remote job but the check was found to be a fake and I got charged for the full amount.
