The scammer reached out through email about a job position at their company where you work from home as a financial pay manager. They told me I had to go through two week training process after submitting my labor agreement. As soon as I submitted my labor agreement, which contained personally identifiable information, they told me we would start training. They wanted me to download an app called telegram and continued further conversation from there. On the app they asked for my bank information so that I could receive payments on behalf the company while I was training. They claimed that after training I would be reimbursed as well as given access to a corporate account. Personally, I did not feel very comfortable giving out bank information so I told them I did not have an active checking account. From there they urged me to open one which seemed suspicious to me. However, I did open a separate banking account through a bank I didn't use and gave them the information. Surprisingly they said I have to use a bank near my location that I can physically access. On top of that they accidently sent me a message in Russian. A feature of Telegram is that you can delete messages that you have sent and received for both parties. They quickly deleted the message and resent it in English, however, I noticed. This is when I definitively decided to confront them saying that they are a scammer and I would be reporting them. They immediately deleted the messages and their account on telegram or made them so I could not view them. My regret was not saving all the messages first before they were deleted.
