This just happened to me too!
I noticed that I had never actually sent an email to [email protected] after I had replied to their “short questionnaire” in the email I received. so I googled the name and reverse searched one of the images that was attached (it included a young adult woman holding up a Bengal cat) and the names did not match up! I thought it was suspicious her email wasn’t in direct response to an inquiry, which is what lead me to look up the name.

I hate that I didn’t notice before I replied, but I’m glad to see this is fake! I also received an email back from someone I had actually emailed earlier in the day about their bengal kittens from Craigslist ([email protected]) at the same time I replied to “Sascha Brenda”. I have not heard back since it’s so late at night, but at least I know not to continue the conversation! Luckily no personal information was sent.

She said the same exact thing to me on her email for the two bengals. I knew it was too good to be true lol. Except she asked for $650 from me for the shipping.

Same! she has at least four craigslist postings under different emails and then she emails back with this one: [email protected]

She claims the following, and her "address" is listed:

My husband and I have decided to give out these kittens to any one who
is ready to take good care of them and we are happy you are willing to
do so. All we need from you is your love for the babies. I really
wanted to meet with you so you can pick up yourself but since you are
not in our area and it's a distances ride on car i don't know if you
will make up the ride to come pick up today or tomorrow.

We just relocated some few days ago to 9901 Scyene Road , Dallas, TX 75227

Better still if you cant make it up, they can be registered to a near
by pets transportation company and will be home delivered to you
All you will have to do is paying for the transportation fee to the
courier so they
will be home delivered to you right at your doorsteps. All we want in
return is just you to take care of them and send us monthly pictures
so we can see his progress.

HOW CAN YOU ASSURE US THAT?

I was personally not a victim of this, but a would-be victim. I was casually browsing through Craigslist when I happened upon an ad claiming that there were two bengal kittens that needed to be re-homed because the owners were moving to an apartment that didn't allow pets. I answered the ad and was immediately contacted by a DIFFERENT email address than was listed on the ad, which should've alerted me from the get-go. Alas, I continued on, and the person basically sent me a questionnaire, which I answered. The person then alerted me that I was a prime candidate, and thus I should immediately send over my contact information so that the pet could be shipped to me, as Texas is a long way from Florida. I should have questioned why the person was so eager to get rid of the pet, but I was blinded by the pictures they gave of the cats. I was a bit cautious, asking for the cost of relocating the pet. The person claimed that the cost of relocation would be $450, which included a final vet check-up and shipping costs. The price seemed a bit high, but I was wiling to pay it, as I guess I really wanted a bengal cat, which is foolish on my part since a lot of shelter cats need homes too. Anyway, after mulling it over for a little bit I decided to give it a shot and provided my information. Immediately, I received an email confirming my information, as well as the information of the cost associated, and also how to provide payment through Zelle. Thereafter, I was contacted by a suspicious-sounding individual, who then proceeded to ask me whether or not I had received the email. After ending the call, I became suspicious and immediately looked over the details of the email. Doing a simple Google search on the "shipping company" associated with the individual provided no initial results. I then proceeded to look up this "shipping" company again and happened upon a website which detailed the scam, except for purebred dogs. As I read over the "email" the other person had received, I realized this was a SCAM. Goes to show you, folks, please do your due diligence before readily handing money over to strangers. Unfortunately, the ad has since conveniently been deleted from craigslist.
