Yesterday I clicked on a Facebook ad for a variety box of Shany Comestics for $0.99 (1st flag ignored) so I click it and input the required information and it’s ordered. I didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t receive a email (2nd flag) I’m always in the habit of checking my account after any and all purchases but I didn’t until later on in the day. I noticed two pending charges. One labeled as Apex membership for 19.79 and another for labeled ICMI SUBSCRIPTION SPRING for 37.15. Total amount: 56.94. I called my bank to report that there was two charges I didn’t recognize and know for a fact that I didn’t use my card for the total of these amounts and they put a block on the card and will be sending a new one. I then realized that the original charge of $0.99 had a website attached. WWW. Birathospital and it’s a website for foreign doctors in Nepal. So until the payments process and post to my account I cannot file a dispute. Below is a picture of what was advertised.
